Sigh...why is it that so many of our brothers and sisters refuse to allow their hearts to come out-of-the-box and bondage of Religious thinking? This is a retorical question, I suppose, as I know there are numerous reasons: fear, fear and more fear of all the ways one has been previously indoctrinated to believe to come crumbling down.

I truly love what you said here, Bob: "I dared to suggest that our focus should be on Jesus and our calling would be to love one another. The evidence of our success would be the recognition of that love by those we came into contact with." And also: "I may never preach or teach doctrinal subjects again but only how much God loves us and how He wants us to love others...I told him that people are free to believe whatever they want; my calling was to point them to Jesus though love. "

Yes, yes! Amen! Awesome, Bob. My prayer is that the Holy Spirit within this man will begin to nudge and impress upon his hear the Truths of your words...and slowly bring him into the Light of what the Church truly is all about.

Ha ha ha! Loved the very last sentence. Umm...nice wish, but I'm not sure if that's in Papa's Will. You ministered to that postman. I know it was draining. I, too, have experienced similar conversations with friends who spoke in Pharisee-speak.

Yet, I know that mine and your words DID make a difference, whether or not we were able to see the positive results immediately or not. Father works in the "background" and your words may just have triggered the beginning of that postman's Journey into the fullness of finally coming into True Relationship with Papa Son Holy Spirit.

Be encouraged, my friend. Your words did not fall on "deaf ears." Faith IS the substance of things hoped for, THE evidence of things not seen!

Again, excellent post.

Blessings,
~Amy :)
http://amyiswalkinginthespirit.blogspot.comAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
